Wimbledon

Oh my...I was a little skeptical about watching this movie...I am not a fan of movies that revolve around any sport...but I was drawn to watch it because I like both Paul Bettany (he's so funny in A Knight's Tale) and Kirsten Dunst (whom I have admired since her Claudia days in Interview with a Vampire). I didn't really know what the story was about...only that it was a love story...and I'm always a sucker for those, so I decided to go. I have absolutely NO REGRETS...I loved it. I don't feel like writing like a movie critic right now...but this movie had many elements that were awesome...even the beginning credits were funny... I loved the awesome digital and camera effects with the tennis ball moving from side to side and how the audience is allowed to listen to the main character's thoughts and see through his eyes...awesome. I even enjoyed the playing tennis bits of the movie because of this! And their love story...I was a little worried about the chemistry between these two actors (because of the age difference), but OMG ....they were perfect together...you believed that these two really fell in love...and you wanted to be just like them... This was definitely one of those movies where I come out of the theatre feeling like a need a boyfriend RIGHT NOW! The ending was so good...and tender...people in the cinema clapped at the end of the film...and this to me is extremely moving as well...I'm definitely going to add this one to my movie collection!

Livin' La Vida Sim

The Sims 2 is so cool!!! I just had to say that! Thanks to Mike, I am hooked all over again... /(@_@)\

(^_^) hehehe So...I wanted everyone to meet the Sim version of me! I am amazed at how freakishly she turned out to look just like me (well, a skinny version of me anyway!!! (^_-) hehehe!) I even made little Sim Mayleen a Wonbin t-shirt for her to wear of course!(^_-)v

As usual, Mayleen keeping in touch with her
friends on the phone....

...and jumping around the house...

...burning the kitchen with her failed
attempts at cooking...

...crying for not having a boyfriend...

...preparing to take a bubble bath...

...and finally having a cutie over for dinner...

STAY TUNED FOR MORE FUNNY PICTURES! \(*^_^*)/

Anime Cosplay

Blame it on some creatively crazy Japanese people or just on the fact that I consider myself to be a creatively-crazy-cultural-sponge of sorts (and proud of it!), many of you know, I joined the cosplay movement a year ago! Happy Cosplay Anniversary to me! (^_-)v hehehe! By posting so many of my cosplay pictures I thought I'd explain or describe what cosplay is all about to the ones unfamiliar with this phenomenon, so here it goes!

COSPLAY is the Japanese word for masquerading generally done at anime conventions. The word 'cosplay' is derived from the words "costume" and "play".

So, what do you do when you cosplay?
1-You dress up as a fictional character from an anime, manga, or movie.
2-You can act like the character you're dressed up as and even do skits at cosplay contests!
3-You show off your costume to other anime convention goers, pose for pictures and have fun!

What in the world inspired me to get into cosplaying?
I have always loved dressing up in costume, when I was a kid at home, while working at Disney, even at my 25th birthday movie-costume party...need I say more?

After watching Karekano ( a popular Japanese anime show) and identifying myself with the main female character, Yukino, I thought it would be fun to dress up as her. And I did! It was lots of fun!!!

Cosplay Kingdom
Not too long after my cosplaying adventure began, my younger sister Elaine and I started producing our original online animations entitled Yubikiri. Then one thing led to another and soon after that my mom also joined the madness and the three of us founded Cosplay Kingdom. Making anime hats, cosplay accessories and props is now our full time job. It's demanding, but lots of fun...and we get to travel a lot too! This is just the beginning people! There'll be more to come in the future!!!(^_^)v
